If you haven’t been, Naked Lounge Downtown is a sorta-new half coffeehouse, half all-ages music venue tucked away in a retro building that used to be a downtown hotel. They make a nice espresso—and serve a beer or two for adults. Music starts at 5:30 p.m. sharp for this matinee 2011 Jammies Battle of the Bands. Judges Debora Iyall, Josh Krage, Rachel Leibrock, Larisa Bryski and Mark Gilmore will listen to the sounds of Jammies contenders Gabriella Ruiz, Adelynn Lackey, Zach MacLachlan, Nicole Norem (pictured, center) and Parie Wood, then convene and decide which 10 lucky finalists will play the Crest Theatre on May 13. 1111 H Street, www.jammies.com.
