Holy beignets and coffee! The Rebirth Brass Band is coming to the Blue Lamp! This nine-piece ensemble from New Orleans plays heavy funk that appeals to longtime jazz fans as well as to young things who just want to shake what their mommas gave ’em. The Rebirth Brass Band has toured overseas dozens of times and played every major jazz festival on Earth, and it consistently sells out venues much larger than the Blue Lamp. Obviously, the crowd will be standing shoulder to shoulder at Tuesday night’s gig. $12 tickets are already available on Tickets.com, or you can take your chances and line up early for the 9 p.m. show.
