Jack of Diamonds is a retirement home comedy which examines the lives of residents, who have learned their broker has lost their life savings in a Ponzi scheme. The show is just plain silly, with laughs aplenty (lots of fart jokes and bathroom humor) as the crew tries to figure out how to stay in their expensive community. Particularly strong are Lew Rooker as a former late-night TV jeweler, with a stash of Viagra in his back pocket and Deborah Shalhoub as Rose, a visually challenged technophile with laxatives in her purse. Direction by Corey Morris. Thu 8pm, Fri 8pm, Sat 8pm. Through 5/12; $20; Ooley Theatre, 2007 28th Street; (916) 214-6255; emhpros@gmail.com.
