Spindly stuff
Robert Brady’s sculptures clamor for attention, quietly shouting in shades of neutral. His tall figures are spindly, and despite their gangling, manage to hold on to some grace. His monotone, broad wall pieces are asymmetrical and have subtle protrusions. The biggest punch of color can be found in his works on paper, with their primitivelike line drawings and their cut-out shapes, which mimic those of his wall pieces.
