So slap us silly
OK, already, so we don’t know our Fine from our Howard. But what we do know is a bargain: 10 local music acts, from all over the map, for $15. The event is an outdoor show this Saturday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Cesar Chavez Plaza, downtown between 9th, 10th, I and J streets. It’s a benefit for the Center for AIDS Research, Education and Services, better known as C.A.R.E.S. Headlining will be Filibuster, preceded by, in reverse order, Freakza Nature, Luxt, G.L.U.G., Shortie, Steady Ups, Slow Lorries, U-DUB and Kentucky Skinner, with Lowboy opening. There’ll be food (barbecue) and refreshments for sale, too. You can either buy your ticket at the gate, at Dimple Records, or at www.theunderzonestore.com, which is presenting the show. Oh, and kids 12 and under get in free.
