Slithering love

Each spring the Community Asian Theatre of the Sierra presents one elaborately staged show. This year it’s The White Snake, an ancient Chinese fable (with costumes, music and puppets) about a gentle serpent spirit and her feisty companion Green Snake. Both transform themselves into beautiful women and fall in love. Of course, complications ensue. The show runs through May 6. 7 p.m. Thursday, April 13, and Friday, April 14, 8 p.m. Saturday, April 15, and 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16; $23-$25.
