Sometimes size does matter. Christine Hodgins’ three installation sculptures at the Art Foundry this month are “made of hundreds of suspended pieces ranging in scale from 7 feet to 16 feet.” The mass of amorphous pendulums—which bear resemblance to hardened lumps of fat—is likely to make an impact. Also on display are her abstract ink drawings, which are dark, delicate, sensual and large, and with some up to 8 feet in dimension, it’ll be a challenge for this work not to earn one’s attention.
