The Kentucky couple who found each other in Last Train to Nibroc have celebrated their first anniversary with a belated honeymoon, but even that took a twist: They started out to see Rock City, and ended up in Cincinnati. This installment of the Nibroc Trilogy finds World War II nearing its end as Raleigh (Jason Kuykendall) and May (Dana Brooke) try to navigate married life, with just a bit of guidance from May’s gentle mother (Elizabeth Palmer) and more than a bit of criticism from Raleigh’s rock-ribbed mother (Judy Jean Berns). The mothers-in-law lend a bit of comedy and pathos to the lovers’ struggle to find a balance between work, art and life.
