Scream 3

Allegedly the last of the now tired horror series, we can only hope that Wes Craven keeps his word that this is the end. The action takes place primarily on the set of Stab 3, a recreation of the murders that took place in the first Scream. Craven does the movie-within-a-movie thing again (something he already did with Wes Craven’s New Nightmare), and the results are far less spectacular. Neve Campbell looks bored to death reprising her role as Sidney, the constant target of psychos with penchants for cheap Halloween masks. The revelation of the killer is a major letdown, and the series took itself too seriously in the end. A truly tired sequel.
