Scary Movie

Director Keenen Ivory Wayans and a half-dozen co-writers out-gross American Pie with this overly raunchy parody of the Scream series and such movies as I Know What You Did Last Summer, The Matrix and The Usual Suspects. The film feels like a string of In Living Color sketches crammed with more drugs, penises, oral sex, shrubbery-size pubic hair and female flatulence than ingenuity. It has some monstrous laughs, but Wayans’ spoof of 1970s blaxploitation films (I’m Gonna Get You Sucka!) was much more fun. The cast stalked by a robed, ghost-faced killer includes Carmen Electra, Dave Sheridan, Anna Farris, Marlon Wayans and Shawn Wayans.
