Here’s a show worth venturing out to the far reaches of Citrus Heights for: Der Spazm, rollicking experimental-rock four-piece with a heavy Sonic Youth jones—which I like, because I have a sweet tooth for lo-fi garage with a pop-punk streak and vocals that are wildly smooth and totally antithetical to the band’s crunchy styling.
