Club Retro’s third annual “Birthday Show and Food Drive” for the Sacramento Food Bank is the only gig each year where I can get rid of my leftover chickpea cans and save money on live music. Score! Anyway, this year’s lineup features STD, Wings of Innocence, Category 7, 5 Days Dirty, the Battle of Midway, Autumn Sky, the Enlows and more. Actually, now that I think of it, maybe chickpeas aren’t the best canned food to donate. Perhaps Chef Boyardee’s mac ’n’ cheese, or perhaps something more nutritious and rock-approved, like Westlers Magnificent Meatballs in Gravy?
