From San Francisco by way of Las Vegas, LoveLikeFire will perform tracks from Tear Ourselves Away, recorded at John Vanderslice’s studio, Tiny Telephone (Vanderslice even appears on the record), this Saturday in Midtown. Fans of the Killers and Karen O will not be let down. Supporting the bill is I’m Dirty Too, or retro-grunge duo of Jess Gowrie and Zac Brown. Gowrie’s vocals are wet and fluid—and, juxtaposed with the band’s distorted instrumentation, it makes for something endlessly soothing.
