Sat, March 13, Moonshine Bandits

Not sure what to make of Moonshine Bandits, the Central Valley rock-rap troupe that prides itself on down-home lyrics and rickety beats, complete with loyal pole climbers, or strippers, or what the band affectionately refers to as “Shiner girls,” as groupies. The beats and raps are game but sometimes err on the side of being corny. Or maybe that’s just my aversion for country rock? Anyway, the upside is there’s lots of drankin’—whiskey seems to be the juice of choice—and their DJ Chopstiqs remixes appeal.
