Sat., June 01, Finch
Ace of Spades, 7 p.m., $18
Finch rose to relative fame with its debut album What It Is to Burn in 2002, blending melodic rock with elements of hardcore, alternative and pop punk. Although that record only reached No. 99 on the Billboard 200 chart, its singles “Letters to You” and the title track remain Finch's two biggest hits. In the decade that followed, the band was mired in hiatus and lineup reformation and released only an album (2005's Say Hello to Sunshine) and an EP (2008's Finch). Now, the original lineup (minus the bassist) is on tour playing What It Is to Burn in its entirety, but has no plans beyond that. 1417 R Street, www.facebook.com/officialofficialfinch.
