If you're into hardcore, Shai Hulud probably either frequented a playlist, served as background music during a road trip or became a catalyst to dig further into the abrasive, fast-paced genre. Shai Hulud formed in '95 and continues to tour venues ranging from its home state of Florida to California—and everywhere imaginable overseas. Guitarist Matt Fox—who's also responsible for writing most of the band's material—and bassist Matt Fletcher are the band's only mainstay members. This hardcore staple has rotated through more than 20 musicians during its longer-than-15-year career. It even featured New Found Glory guitarist Chad Gilbert on vocals in the mid-to-late '90s.
