Joe Louis Walker has been playing the blues since the ’60s, when blues was a lifestyle. However, it was a bit of a crazy one, so Walker transitioned to Gospel music, succeeded with that and then made his way back to the blues. The Grammy winner will perform Saturday in Nevada City—and it’s worth the drive. Walker’s guitar virtuosity and vocal pipes channel down-in-the-dumps feelings into something constructive: music and dancing.
