I think bands should jack with their names more often, just for shits and giggles. If you need suggests, give me a call. And so when Steven Jess Borth II, DJ Whores and Young Aundee, who used to be the live incarnation of Dub Defender, changed their moniker, I cheered. Anyway, they’re now called Chllngr—improved—but I imagine the sounds still skew heavily dub, embellished with dashes of melodica, saxophone and Whore’s deejaying. This Sunday’s gig is part of Submerge magazine’s second-anniversary party, featuring other performances by TAIS and DJ Mike Diamond.
