Sat, Jan 30, The No-Goodniks
Shire Road Club, 8 p.m., $15
Friday night at Shire Road Club, the city’s latest venue, will be an epic whopper: 7 Seconds, Youth Brigade, Pressure Point, the Knockoffs, Boats!—now, that’s a local punk-rock lineup. Still, don’t forget Saturday, which will be headlined by foursome the No-Goodniks, who’ll bring the honest, straightforward punk rock with a woman’s touch, namely Jessi Rose’s pop-infused, soothing but blue-collar vocals. And like any good punk show, they’ll be—oh, what’s the word—“copious” bands. Five in total. Sigh. Oh, and this is an all-ages show. So represent, anyway. With Ashtray, Mad Judy, Puke and Spit, and Bastards of Young. 5525 Auburn Boulevard, www.myspace.com/thenogoodniksrock.
