DJ Whores has moved to Saturday nights at Golden Bear, and he’s coined the evening “Sweaty.” Loyal readers already know this; I wrote about Sweaty a couple of weeks back. Anyway, in that write-up, I labeled Whores’ set as “bro-friendly.” Well, I went to Golden Bear again last weekend and need to retract that lazy analogy: I heard nothing but anti-bro dance, hip-hop and indie tracks, like Ratatat’s remix of Biggie’s “Party and Bullshit.” I didn’t hear any bro mixes—and I would know, because, I confess, my bro blood runs embarrassingly thick.
