Designer Laura Edmisten is one of the few Sacramento artists known for making awesome live-gig posters. Hers are uniquely designed and hand-printed. Just marvel at this poster for Jandek (right): cool, intriguing dominant image, band name visible (important!), and all the pertinent info is there and readable. This may sound simple, but it’s not—and Edmisten does it with style and smarts. Personal faves from events past are her Vivian Girls poster and a Thanksgivingly bright one for this year’s Appetite Enhancement Ride.
