If you need a swift kick of teen energy to end your summer vacation haze, catch the Davis Art Center Summer Attack. Opening is singer-songwriter Parie Wood, who took home the Judge’s Award and third place at SN&R’s 2011 Jammies. She pens witty folk-punk songs, sings them stylishly and accompanies herself on guitar—stuff you’d swear came from a much older musician at an open-mic night. Then, local rockers Crow Canyon (pictured), Downhill From Here, Uncle Tony and Exhale will proceed to rock out, serenading you with raw all-ages jams.
