Sat, April 23, Dead Western
Phono Select, 6 p.m., no cover
If you didn’t take the time this past Saturday to visit Midtown’s newest record store, Phono Select, then cruise by this Saturday at 6 for 1) better-late-than-never purchase of your favorite album on vinyl; and 2) a set by local experimental-folk trio Dead Western, its last show in the city for a while. That’s right: D.W. singer-songwriter and MidMo music scribe Troy Mighty and the group’s bassist will be crossing the pond to Europe for a monthlong tour after this all-ages, free show. Again, it’s free—so buy a damn record. Perhaps even D.W.’s Suckle at the Supple Teats of Time. 2312 K Street, www.facebook.com/deadwestern.
