Community Center Theater, 8 p.m., $25-$65
Sacramento Community Center Theater

If you only go to one classical music performance this year, consider Midori. She’s not just a violinist; she’s a United Nations Messenger of Peace and a musician who travels the globe educating underprivileged children. Midori will perform Bach, Brahms, Maurice Ravel and Manuel de Falla. Also, this year’s SN&R Jammies classical winners will receive their awards; violinist Ray Anthony Trujillo will get $3,000, pianist Fantee Jones will get $1,500, and cellist Eunghee Cho will get $500. Pretty cool—and if you’re under 17 years old, persuade a parent or guardian to buy a ticket and you can get into the Midori show for free. No excuses. 1301 L Street, www.sacphil.org.
