Sat., April 06, Showtime at the Colonial

The Colonial Theatre, 7:30 p.m., $20-$30

Pinkie Rideau (pictured) plays the blues the way she lives life—her own way. She fuses rock, funk and a whole lot of fun into each show. She's opened for Los Lonely Boys and performed with Charlie Brechtel, Daniel Castro, Tim Murphy and Bobbie Webb. In this show, called Showtime at the Colonial, she'll join a dozen performers, including Ayanna, Kyle Rowland and Simply the Band, for an evening of blues, funk and R&B. Rowland has performed blues harmonica alongside Norton Buffalo, Rick Estrin, Kenny Neal and the legendary James Cotton. Men should don their sharpest threads to be considered for the “Best Dressed Male Contest.” 3522 Stockton Boulevard, www.2pink4u.com.
