Sacramento Ballet
Ron Cunningham, artistic director for the Sacramento Ballet, recently announced the new schedule for the 2000/2001 season. In addition to The Nutcracker and several other special premieres, the ballet will feature three new and outstanding programs during the season. “I am very excited about the works we will be doing this coming year,” said Cunningham. “We have an excellent mix of traditional ballet and other styles throughout the year, which offers something for everyone.” The season kicks off this Thursday at the Community Center Theater with the American Composers program, a combination of three works set against the music of Hershey Kay, John Adams and Samuel Barber. American Composers continues through Sunday. Subscription ticket prices range from $45 to $120 for three shows. Call 552-5800, ext. 100 for more information.
