Sac State actors take it to D.C.

The actors in training at Sacramento State swept awards at a Kennedy Center American College Theater Festival Region VII competition at Humboldt State in February, winning six of the eight scholarships available for a summer arts program. In addition, two Sac State students, Olivia Hughes and Sean Nill, will be traveling to Washington, D.C., to compete against student actors from across the country. The two will compete at the national festival in April, along with 32 other student actors. Hughes is a junior and Nill is a senior.

Ro Bettencourt, Ure Egbuho, Krystle Jong and Shane Turner were the other Sac State students to win scholarships. All six will be attending the CSU Summer Arts program at Fresno State this year.
