Road to El Dorado, The

I love a good cartoon, but this isn’t one of them. Kevin Kline and Kenneth Branagh voice two uninteresting Spaniards in this dumb road movie that takes their characters to the city of gold, where they hang out with Rosie Perez and play basketball with the natives. (You can call this one White Painted Men That Should Have Gone Straight to Video Can’t Jump or Make You Laugh.) The story is not worthy of the countless hours that go into creating a 90-minute animated film, and the animation isn’t all that great to boot. The music is el stinko, with awful work turned in by the not-so-great Elton John. No reason to take the kids, unless you have a hard time getting them to take naps.
