Ring in the new year
Many holidays are more enjoyable for those in relationships. First off, there’s Valentine’s Day. Sure, it’s great when you’re seeing someone, but it sucks when you’re alone. Then, there’s Halloween. Just think about it; couples costumes are always the hit of the party. Finally, there’s New Year’s Eve. Admit it; the countdown to midnight can be quite disheartening if you’re single. That is, unless you’re at the Professionals Guild’s New Year’s Eve Bash. The party, which will be held this Friday from 8:30 p.m. to 1 a.m., boasts that more than 2,000 singletons will be in attendance, thereby increasing your chances of locking lips at the stroke of midnight. Tickets for the event cost $69 and include two drink tickets, music by Cold Shot and Innersoul, casino gaming and a balloon drop. The clock strikes 12 at the Hilton hotel, located at 2200 Harvard Avenue. Call (916) 786-5858 for more information.
