Replacements, The
This is a bad movie, and it’s not Keanu Reeves’ fault. Professional football players go on strike, and the league hires scabs to replace them. Reeves plays Shane Falco, possessor of excellent quarterback skills and a tendency to choke when the going gets rough. He tries to lead a team of stereotypes to the playoffs while suffering through a bad “I Will Survive” dance number. This is the second football film in as many years that contains football players puking on the field. Reeves and Gene Hackman are OK, but they have no business being in such a piece of shit. Not funny, and not even close to being worth your time.
