Red Host goes to college
Red Host at CSUS
May is a month for sunshine and breezes and picnics and bike rides. In short, it’s a month when people come out of their wintry hibernation and embrace the great outdoors. And what better way to enjoy the spring air than an outdoor concert? Red Host will play one such show at the Joe Serna Jr. Plaza on the CSUS campus in May. If you haven’t heard them live or recorded, Host plays a dark, sultry brand of rock ’n’ roll that lends an appropriate backdrop to Chelsea Wolfe’s PJ Harvey-esque vocals. Drummer Jess Gowrie and bassist Ian Bone’s rapid-fire beats have been likened to Queens of the Stone Age. No cover. Noon 5/14. Joe Serna Plaza, CSUS. All ages.
