Record Store Day is a musical holiday

April 16, Record Store Day

This Saturday, April 16, is one of the biggest holidays for vinyl aficionados. Each year, Record Store Day joins indie record store shops across the world for an event that promises special RSD-only releases and in-store performances. Some of this year’s releases include works from Lush and Hüsker Dü frontman Bob Mould. In Sacramento, the local music chain Dimple Records will host in-store events with a noon performance by Bellygunner at Dimple Arden (2433 Arden Way) and an 11 a.m. gig by Destroy Boys at Dimple Broadway (2500 16th Street). KZAP radio staff will be at both locations giving out swag. www.recordstoreday.com.
