It's been called the “Netflix for books,” and though this online library-subscription site doesn't have quite as deep a selection, it's nonetheless worth its subscription fee. For $8.99 monthly, users can choose from thousands of books to read via Web browser or apps for smartphones and most tablets. There's no limit to how many books a user can access monthly, and selections span most genres (literature, young adult, history, cooking, etc.) as well as, interestingly, user manuals, maps, court filings and user-submitted creative writing.
