Rail-yards redesign
An exhibit of eco-friendly designs for Sacramento’s rail yards.
What might an eco-friendly design of a mixed-use block in Sacramento’s rail-yards redevelopment project look like? See for yourself at an art exhibit featuring the creations of 12 teams that participated in the 2008 U.S. Green Building Council Natural Talent Design Competition. The artwork illustrates principles of integrated design, sustainability, innovation and social consciousness. The free event takes place from 6 to 9 p.m. during the Second Saturday art walk on June 14 at the Green Living Center, 1931 H Street.
