Protect wildlife and the habitat they thrive in

(1) Learn about some of the largest organizations dedicated to wildlife and habitat preservation and find out how you can help them. Visit World Wildlife Fund at www.worldwildlife.org, the Nature Conservancy at www.nature.org and Conservation International at www.conservation.org to get started.

(2) If you’re a landowner, consider establishing your property as a natural preserve in perpetuity. Visit the Nature Conservancy (Yep, them again). Type in “conservation easements” in the search menu and learn how to retain your rights to your land and protect its pristine beauty for future generations.

(3) Take care of local habitat and open spaces. Join efforts to clean up or protect a corridor, creek, river or park.
