So what’s in season? And what the hell am I gonna do with all those fava beans? Here’s a tip:
1. Got fava beans? Make a dip. Puree the beans with olive oil, herbs, salt and pepper, and you’ve got a delicious accompaniment to any chip or veggie. Or sauté and season the beans for a healthy side dish.
2. Beets are coming! Red, golden and Chioggia beets will be at local markets beginning in June.
3. Love them greens. Chard, fennel and lettuce are all in season. Get ’em while you can.
