Produce in the park

Cold weather puts the kibosh on picnics. Well, unless you enjoy sitting in the park on a blistery day trying to control chattering teeth long enough to shovel a spoonful of potato salad into your mouth. The Davis Farmers Market’s Picnic in the Park season is in hibernation; however, it will still offer local winter produce every Wednesday, from 2 to 6 p.m., through March 10, as well as its usual Saturday market, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Wednesday Farmers Market, located in Central Park at Fourth and C streets in Davis, and will offer winter fruits and vegetables, baked goods, tortillas and vendors such as East & West Gourmet Afghan Food.
