Contrary to popular belief, a boomerang kid is not a curved, flat piece of wood that you spend most of your life raising to grow up and become a successful, boomerang adult. A boomerang kid actually refers to a young, human adult who, after a period of independent living, moves back in with their human parents. Who knew? Alone Together is a play all about having boomerang kids (the human kind) and one couple’s struggle to get their children to leave the nest a second time. And just to clarify, no actual boomerangs will be present onstage. Fri, 8/16, 8pm; Sat, 8/17, 8pm; Through 9/7; $12-$20; Kennedy Mine Amphitheatre, 1127 N Main St. in Jackson; (209) 295-4499; mstw.org.
