Plugged out
Driving an electric vehicle just got more awesome. Thanks to Plugless Power by Evatran, you will no longer have use a chord and socket to power your electric vehicle. Just park near a Plugless Power parking pad, and the car battery will charge via a process called inductive power transfer. The technology is now being beta tested by places such as Google’s headquarters, and will be available to the public sometime in 2012. Sears Home Services will handle installation on these units for your home/garage. For now, Plugless Power will be available only for the Nissan Leaf and the Chevy Volt.
