Please, not cheese

Some people delight in having dairy-less nachos, but not me. Sacramento-based Love & Joy Foods concocted Nacheez vegan nacho sauce with red bell peppers, cashews and cornstarch, but I probably won’t try it. Before anyone strains a hamstring by jumping onto their soapboxes with accusations of not being supportive of the vegan movement and local businesses, consider this: I hate cheese—even when I was an omnivore. Regardless, I’ve tried fake “cheeses,” but the best ones are just disturbing imitations of something I abhor. So why bother? But those who favor the faux might love the stuff.
