Our feathered friends
Don’t miss the second annual Winter Bird Festival in Galt for a chance to learn about regional wildlife, including sandhill cranes, Canada geese, tundra swans and hundreds of other birds that call the Sacramento Valley home. During the full-day event, learn about the importance of wetlands, agriculture and open space, and go on a tour of the Cosumnes River Preserve. The festival takes place on Saturday, January 17, at Robert L. McCaffrey Middle School, 997 Park Terrace Drive in Galt. For more information, call (209) 366-7220.
