Homecomings can be sweet things. On Thursday, December 18, Blackalicious, whose members Chief Xcel and the Gift of Gab hail from South Sacramento, will take the stage at Harlow’s, 2708 J Street, in honor of the second anniversary of Twelves Wax Emporium, the fine hip-hop- centric record store and event promoter at 1716 Broadway. Perhaps Gab will deliver something from his upcoming solo joint, Fourth Dimensional Rocketships Going Up, which Quannum Projects will release in February. Also on the bill is Bay Area turntablist Vinroc of Triple Threat DJs fame. Doors open at 9:30 p.m., it’s a 21-and-over event, and the cover’s $15.
