Why do singles events always advertise with pictures of couples? It seems odd, but who wants to tangle with tradition?
As you can see by the listings above, there are tons of professionally organized ways to bring in 2002 (besides your personal traditions, like drinking an entire “40” in the 10 seconds before the ball hits Times Square). However, should you find yourself suddenly young, single and loving to mingle (i.e. compulsively muttering, “Who the hell am I going to kiss at midnight?”), the New Year’s Eve Spectacular at the Hilton is the event for you. Over 2,000 singles will be there in their finest party attire. There are two rooms of live music with Innersoul and Contraband, two DJ rooms and free-flowing champagne at midnight.
