Nurse Betty

A nice change of pace for director Neil LaBute (In the Company of Men, Your Friends and Neighbors). Renee Zellweger stars as Betty, a mousy housewife who goes into shock after witnessing a violent act and treks to Hollywood, where she believes she’s the ex-fiancee of a soap opera star (Greg Kinnear). A nasty subplot involves Morgan Freeman and Chris Rock as hitmen on her trail. Good performances all around, especially from Zellweger and Kinnear. Lots of good laughs laced with nastiness.
