Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian
Merchandising tycoon Larry Daley (Ben Stiller) returns to his job as a museum night guard to rescue his exhibit friends—the ones who magically came to life in 2006’s Night in the Museum—from being hidden away in the Federal Archives under the National Mall. This sequel was made for one reason only: the first film made $250 million. Writers Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon and director Shawn Levy make it the same only more so—more special effects and more magic exhibits in a bigger museum. Luckily, the best things about the first movie are back (namely Stiller, Robin Williams as Teddy Roosevelt, and Owen Wilson and Steve Coogan as miniature figurines), and some good things added—namely Hank Azaria as a hilarious Karloff-like villain and (especially) the dazzling Amy Adams as Amelia Earhart.
