Nature Center fun

The Effie Yeaw Nature Center is hosting several free eco-events for kids and families. On Saturday, November 22, at 1:30 p.m., go for a Habitat Hunt to learn about everything wild animals need to survive. On Sunday, November 23, at 1:30 p.m., go for a guided nature walk looking for wild turkeys. On Saturday, November 29, at 1:30 p.m., explore how Maidu Indians used plants for food, medicine, clothing and shelter. Park entrance costs $5. The center is located in Ancil Hoffman Park, 2850 San Lorenzo Way, in Carmichael.
