Most of us have enough scruples to avoid being lowered into a glass tank full of scorpions à la Fear Factor or throwing fish to get a date like those poor schmucks on Bachelorettes in Alaska. However, we also have a hard time looking away when other people do unbelievable things on camera. Indulge your taste for the unbelievable this Wednesday at the Adrenaline Film Festival. The theme is extreme sports, but the lineup goes way beyond the usual snowboarding fare. Witness kayakers tumbling over the indomitable waterfalls of Norway, kite boarders slicing through the San Francisco Bay, and one man’s descent down Mount Whistler on a unicycle. The flicks start at 6 p.m. at the University Union Ballroom of California State University at Sacramento. Admission is $10, which benefits the Department of Recreation and Leisure Studies scholarship fund. Call (916) 278-4323 for more information.
