Lines Between the Lines, the newest exhibit at La Raza Galeria Posada, is an art show devoted to the relationship between visual art and words. Every artist on the show roster (which includes such local luminaries as Jose Montoya, Faith Dayton, Ruebi Freyja, Esteban Villa, Keely Dorran and Louie “the foot” Gonzales) is both a poet and a painter or photographer. Continuing with the theme of artistic multi-tasking, exhibit curator Frank Andrick has organized an opening-night extravaganza that includes a screening of The Great Mojado Invasion; live music by Dino Crowley; a trilingual poetry presentation with Andrick, Julie Reyes and Gilberto Rodriguez; and an open-mic poetry reading hosted by Los Escritores del Nuevo Sol. Experience the multimedia deluge Friday at 6 p.m. Admission is free. La Raza Galeria Posada is located at 704 O Street. Call (916) 446-5133 for info.
