Mr. and Ms. Natural

No, the adult ads didn’t run over onto the 7days page. Those women are bodybuilding athletes! Strong women and men from all over Northern California will gather in Folsom this weekend for the Natural (read: drug-free) Mr./Ms. California 2001 bodybuilding competition. You can watch them flex and strut through choreographed routines designed to show off their strength and aerobic endurance. The winners will go on the ESPN Fitness America Pageant. The event includes a health fair and all proceeds go toward educating youth about the dangers of anabolic steroids. The event starts 10 a.m. Saturday. The finals begin 6 p.m. $10-$25.
