More, more, Moore!
Michael Moore, filmmaker, political critic and author of the best seller Stupid White Men, will visit Sacramento this Saturday to screen his new documentary, Bowling for Columbine. The film is an examination of gun ownership, gun control and the climate of fear in America. Bowling for Columbine won the Special Jury Prize at the 2002 Cannes Film Festival, where it was the first documentary invited for screening in more than 50 years. Moore will answer questions after two shows at Tower Theatre: one at 7 p.m. and one at 8 p.m. Tickets are $25, and proceeds benefit Sac-Yolo Peace Action, Because People Matter, Legal Community Against Violence and the Million Mom March. Only 600 tickets are available, so call Peace Action at 448-7157 to reserve yours. Tower Theatre is located at 2508 Land Park Drive.
